Re: Chubby pot nosewarmer
It looks a tad thick to me behind the button Thanks for the kind words Sam. Behind the button is .145". I made the n00b mistake of sanding right through a stem on this one...this was actually the fourth stem I made for this pipe which is embarrassing. However I made it 90% of what I had envisi...

Re: Chubby pot nosewarmer
The main thing that sticks out to me is the stem. It looks like you couldn't decide between a saddle stem and a tapered stem. For a saddle stem, you'd want the stem almost flat from the button to the saddle and the saddle itself would be sharp. If you're doing a tapered stem, you would need just a ...

Re: Third pipe - billiard
Thanks for the feedback! Very helpful and insigetful. A second thing which could use correcting, is the shank to stem transition- it's way to gradual and blurred, getting into that corner with a small round file will do wonders for the overall shape. So make the transition more rigid rather than the...

Third pipe - billiard
Hello all, This is my third pipe made. The first two were from pre-drilled blocks and pre-fab stems. This is my first time drilling a block and my first hand made stem. There was a few flaws which led to the attempt at rustication. I know the rustication is absolutely horrible! However, I didn't hav...
