Re: How many "file-made pipes" before upgrading to lathe?
I found used motors on local for rale sites. I payed $15 to $25 each. Then had my son wire a switch and plug to them. They have worked great for the past 5 years.

Re: Quick Change Tool Post for wood lathe
I really don't know how to use it. But i see them on metal lathes. It looks like it would be better. But i also don't have much experience using a lathe. I have acquired a small wood lathe and thought it would be easier to use than holding the turning tools in hand.

Re: JakeP
Welcome Jacob. This is the right place to learn about pipe making. I would like to see your long belt sander. I also made one. Not the best looking thing but it does the job.

I can not see the pictures. Is there something I need to do to view them? They show a black square and says image beside it. I've tried clicking on it.

Thanks Sandahlpipe. I will need to practice on stamping. I also may need to get a stamp with less on it. Maybe my initials Instead of my name till I get better at it.

Re: Cheapest laser engraver?
I have a stamp from Buckeye also. I sometimes have trouble getting a good impression. Would a press work with stamp? Or would it be to much pressure?

Re: Dust collection Help
Thank you Sasquatch. I like the size of that. But I already got the Rigid. This one also takes bags. I had a low budget $49. I also picked up a cyclone that works with a 5gal bucket. I am still looking for good ideas of what to put at the sanders and buffers. I do like what Doc is doing with the kit...

Doc, what is the HP of your vac? I am looking for a smaller size for the area I want to put it. But I want as much HP that I can get. I am looking at a Ridged 9Gal 4.5hp. Should that work?

Re: Dust collection Help
Thank you Dogcatcher. That will be a great addition. And helpful. I have not been in my shop for about 6 weeks. I had a virus that had me down for a while and then minor surgery. Now I'm trying to get my very small shop in a better workable order.
