Re: PITH 2018!!!!
What stem material are we using,or is it open It should be kept traditional, ie. ebonite/vulcanite, acrylic and its variants, juma. No wooden stems or anything too unusual. I'm going to say no stems made of bakelite, briar, or horn as there are inherent issues with these materials for stems that on...

Re: PITH 2018!!!!
Well if we're just throwing ideas out there, i know a style that would most likely make most pipemakers really uncomfortable and go out of their comfort zone via that... Christian Wolfsteiner theme...

Re: UV Powder?
It looks like this is to be mixed with a medium such as linseed oil or perhaps latex and used as a paint. I suspect that you would have to view the surface under UV light to see the glow and I am assuming it will have to go on pretty thickly to get a glow in the dark effect) As for safety, the litt...

Best way to shine up a rusticated pipe?
Hello, i was wondering seeing how my main focus when it comes to pipemaking is rustication, on how i can best make my rusticated pipes really look shiny as if almost to make you lose your sight? I know of the danish oil method and cannabua wax, however with cannabua wax it so easily gets stuck in cr...

Re: Best way to get as vibrant colors as possible?
I have no answer, but in the past I saw a green pipe, that the color was as vibrant as any I have seen. In my mind, I also believe there was an orange one. Unfortunately I only think I remember they were in the Gallery section of the forum. I did a search for both, and came up empty handed. You mig...

Coloring? (Help, I'm a noob)
Hello honored great pipemakers! I was wondering about staining, and i have several questions! 1. How do i blend colors and stain with different colors to get shaded looks? 2. Can i use any sort of leather dye, or does it have to be ROC or Fiebings? 3. I mainly wanna make rusticated pipes, is it poss...
