Compressor install question
I had a pipe maker tell me to just leave my compressor bolted to the pallet it was delivered on. I was going to bolt it to the garage floor and use vibration pads. The lazy cheap side of me likes the "leave it on the pallet" idea but wanted some opinions. Any reason I shouldn't leave it on...

Jet 920w start not engaging ?
Hi guys,
My jet 920w is starting when I press the green power button, motor turns, but as soon as I let go of the button it slows to a halt as if the stop button has been pressed.
Any one else have this issue or does anyone have ideas on a fix?
Thanks and happy holidays!

Re: Prince Shaping
Thanks for the responses so far!
May have to look into some lathe tools in addition to the cutting tools on my metal lathe.

Do most of you guys use turning tools to do the classics, particularly a prince or apple? I've been freehanding it and although my symetry is getting better its not as nice as I'd like. I remember seeing some of Rad's "passion for pipes" shape with tops of the smoke chamber turmed on a lat...

Re: Bulldog (updated)
Thanks for some clarification and input Sas... Honestly most of the thoughts on flow and lines never crossed my mind as I am still more focused on not screwing up and fit and finish. Kind of another hurdle to watch out for. I'll try to think it through a little further now that I have an idea of thi...

Re: Bulldog (updated)
Thanks for the kind words and critiques.
Any ideas on how to improve the flow of the pipe? Maybe examples of what I should look for?
Thanks again!

Here is my latest. It was my intention to submit it to the KC pipe show contest but I am second guessing my eagerness. Critique away as I have thick skin. http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u433/ebklodt/p3.jpg http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u433/ebklodt/p5.jpg http://i1067.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: Most recent work
That egg has great lines!
I do prefer the color schemes on the other two though. Just my opinion but the brown finish on the egg would have been beter served with a black stem. Then again, my wife yells at me for wearing a black jacket with brown shoes!

Nice!!!
That old lathe has the coolest lines look wise...like a early 50's caddie with tail fins and tuck and roll seats! Needs a pinup girl on it.
AC???!! AC??!! I thought you were an mountain man who was use to roughing it?
Enjoy the new space!

Re: Good fun in Richmond
Enjoyed meeting all of you.
In music, I always enjoy artists that inspire me to practice. I saw a lot of pipes at the show by members of this forum that make me want to practice.
Thanks again to all who offered their advice and encouragement.
