PITH 2015
Re: PITH 2015
As much as it pains me to say this, I must respectfully bow out this year. I was really hoping to get some time last weekend but a lot of things came up. This is especially disappointing to me as this would have been my 5th consecutive year in the PITH. Sorry to let you guys down.

Re: PITH 2015
Does anyone have contact info for heri? He hasn't signed in since February, so I doubt he's still in the PITH, but I'm just trying to verify. I've tried PMing him with no success.

Re: PITH 2015
Alright everyone, today is the last day to cram and get your pipes done! When you finish, either post that you're done, or pm me so I can finalize the list. You don't have to post pictures right away, but at some point it would be nice to see what everyone came up with. I'll generate and post a random list early tomorrow morning, since midnight is at different times for some of us, and I need my beauty sleep. I will be going off of what I have at that point as far as who's finished, so make sure to communicate when you're done. Good luck everyone!

Very nice 2combs and mightysmurf. I'd be glad to get either of those.

Re: PITH 2015
Thanks man! It was definitely challenging. My first bamboo, first saddle stem, and first Oom Paul all at once. It was fun though. I learned that drilling an Oom Paul isn't easy. In fact my airway ended up centered, but sitting not quite at the bottom of the bowl, but still close enough that think it will smoke fine. Blending the little channel on the bamboo into the shank and stem were a major pain in the arse! I think I have it figured out so next time will be a smoother process. All in all, I think I did better than I expected to, and I learned a great deal.Jthompson1995 wrote:Very nice 2combs and mightysmurf. I'd be glad to get either of those.

Re: PITH 2015
I'm not sure that a bend in the stem is entirely necessary here. If anything, it should be only very slight. Any other thoughts on this?
Re: PITH 2015
I agree it's not necessary, just think a very slight bend would make it flow a little better. Looks a little too rigid with the straight stem. That's my opinion of course. I'm open to others opinions as well though. Thanks
Besides the bend in the stem I'm finished, so i believe I'm close enough to safely put me on the finished list. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Anyone heard from Walt? Haven't gotten a reply from him, and I'd hate for him to miss out.

Re: PITH 2015
Sorry I haven't posted the randomized list yet. Today was the first day in several months that I've had the opportunity to sleep in, so I'm not actually sorry
. I'll have it up shortly.

As with previous trades, you send your pipe to the person below you, and the last person on the list sends theirs to the first. Send each other a PM to arrange for shipment.
Most of all, use this as an opportunity to get and give honest and constructive feedback regarding your pipes. Nothing is quite as helpful and detailed as hands-on feedback.
Please try to give feedback in a reasonable amount of time. I understand we are all busy, but please try.
