Pipe Makers' Meet-up

To all:

I am planning to host a pipe makers' meet up at my home in Edmond, OK (a suburb of Oklahoma City), in October of this year. Details and exact date, TBD. I just wanted to get this out for save-the-general-date reasons. Maybe just block off all of October.

Initial thoughts:

Arrive Friday evening. Welcome dinner. Hang. Play in shop.
Saturday morning, start late due to festivities that went late Friday night. Make pipes all day. Have a few pre-arranged training sessions. Generally have a great time.
Sunday morning, brunch and head home.

My shop isn't huge, which is why I'm thinking October: the weather is generally perfect that time of year. I'll just rent a tent for the driveway, and we'll overflow as needed out of the shop.

I'm open to any and all ideas.

There are hotels not too far away.

Anyone interested?

I would love it, but old age maintenance may not allow it. You know surgeries etc.

I recently visited Oklahoma City for a wedding. I was surprised to find it to be a nice, clean,calm place with a modern down down. The wedding was in Myriad Gardens, designed by IM Pei.
Make time for a visit to the memorial for the bombing. It is a very well done, moving, and solemn experience.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford a return visit this year.
