Oval Shank Billiard - reworked
Oval Shank Billiard - reworked
So I posted this pipe last week, and after some great critiques I decided to go back to work on it. I tried to fix 3 major things; removing some more from the chin, setting the rim straight, and making the back of the bowl match the front. I didn't do any work to the stem, sorry. Critiques are always appreciated.

The chin is still there. And the sides of the bowl aren't the same on the bottom third of the bowl. When viewed from the bottom, the right cheek is bigger than the left.

Again, this will improve with your next efforts.
Occasionally, I use a contour gauge (a linear array of moveable pins that take on the contour when pressed against an object) to compare side to side when I am filing. About $8 at Home Depot.
Nice smokable pipe.
You are getting there.
