Freehand "Marcel"

Post by maxmil »

This pipe is dedicated to the film entitled "La traversée de Paris" of the year 1956, directed by Claude Autant-Lara, and played by Jean Gabin, Bourvil, Louis De Funès, Robert Arnoux, Hans Verner, and Jeannette Batti.
Best regards.

Beautiful pipe. Reminds of a musical instrument for some reason. My only critique is that the stem seems to have a bit of a kink at the crest.

Thank you so much for your opinion.
The torsion is intentional, and is part of the design of the pipe.
Best regards.

I thought the same thing - the way it's carved and stained looks reminds me of a slightly bursted finish on a nice carved top on electric guitar or violin. I like it a lot.
