I wanted to intruduce my self and start chatting here.
I have been a pipe collector for many years and want to pursue my hand at pipe carving.

I just ordered some briar and some stem blanks.

I hope to read the Bb and get to know you all.
My goal is hopefully to get good enough at carving that in the future I can at least carve part time.
I know a few of you here and have many questions!

I am in south bend indiana and 27 years old.
I know a few of you from the pipe shows.

Welcome to the forums! I think you'll find lots of great folks, help, and ideas to get you going.

I saw your post on ASP about your hopes with pipe making. If you have any questions, ask away. Also, the search feature for the forum will be your friend. (NOT THE SEARCH IN THE HEADER -- it doesn't search the forum -- use the search that is second from the left in the forum menu bar.) LOTS of stuff has been discussed that you will find helpful.

I will definattly call when i start.
Right now I am waiting for the stuff to get here. It will be a week or so for the briar and stems.

I am sure to have tons of questions.
