I completed this for a customer in Germany the other day and thought I should share some pics with you guys. The blast on this just blew me away.

Nice deep blast. The grain also centres nicely on the heel of the bowl.

that looks great. is a blast like that more a result of application technique or of the wood giving up grain easier in certain lines than in others?

really nice work.

Actually it is a combination of both. You have to have a little luck with the wood and develop a technique that gives you the look you want.

And the pipe itself seems to be a very neat little nosewarmer as well!
