Nice deep blast. The grain also centres nicely on the heel of the bowl.

that looks great. is a blast like that more a result of application technique or of the wood giving up grain easier in certain lines than in others?

really nice work.
Actually it is a combination of both. You have to have a little luck with the wood and develop a technique that gives you the look you want.
