It's a little heavier cut than I might prefer, but the control one has with the spray is pretty nice - no blotches or wipe marks or anything (this is avoided with a thin cut of shellac). It dries in about 5 minutes - carried by a nasty combo of meths, acetone, propane and butane. Quite probably I should not have been smoking while using it.
Treating the rusticated sections was a snap though and for a real craggy pipe this stuff might just be the ticket.
Here's the pipe - sanded to 500, sprayed, sanded at 800, sprayed, and then the tripoli process and carnauba.
