hunting for a blend
I'm on a hunt for a blend that couples pressed and aged dark virginias (in cake or flake), perique, a splash of latakia, and natural vanilla (possibly deer's tongue) to give a nice room aroma, So far I have failed in my hunt. I've been toying with just "rolling my own", but I wonder if anyone knows of such a blend.
Have you tried using this site: http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/
I'm almost certain that's where I stumbled upon Butternut Burley.

Did you ever try this Kurt? What'd you think? Just curious....KurtHuhn wrote:Thanks guys! The new search feature is great. Looks like Ruins Of Isnegard from Just For Him just might suit the bill.
Thanks again!

No. As per usual I became distracted by something shiny and forgot all about it. Thanks for reminding me!
Re: hunting for a blend
I tried it as well as 'Shortcut...' and 'Treebeard'. I dunno, jury's still out. They're nice tobacco, but the sweetness tastes a bit artificial and is maybe a little too overdone. Not sure, might just be the day. I'll have to keep at em and see if anything changes...

I seem to be very partial lately to " Habana Daydreams" by Cornell & Diehl. It has a little cigar leaf mixed in. I have received positive coments about the aroma but also one guy said it smelled like I was burning old gym socks! So take it for what it is worth. I use tobaccoreviews.com myself and find them to be pretty good.

What about "Perfection" from Gawith? That's okay shit.

The last few months I've found myself reaching for Gentleman Callers from C&D more then anything. Be ready to dedicate a pipe to it though- it leaves a very strong ghost.
