pipe in the hat trade?
I'm in.
Re: pipe in the hat trade?
I would totally be in if it didn't take me 100 hours to finish a pipe right now and I had at least finished one!
I look forward to seeing what everyone turns out. Hopefully next year I'll actually be able to participate!

I'm going to try and make a bulldog/rhodesian in the coming month, but seeing the time I have in the shop these days: count me out for now.

Comrades!
Although I never got my pipe last time I just decided to join again.
When's the deadline?
I'll still be in agony then you know. After having "slept" in an Irish roadside ditch.
Cheerio!

What a weird date, Kurt!KurtHuhn wrote: I'm thinking the Monday after St. Patrick's day to give everyone enough time.

That sir, sounds like a challenge! If it's cool if I join in the pass with my second pipe, I'm in. I double checked the date and it doesn't look as intimidating as I thought. Still intimidating, but doable. Gotta love a challenge!Walle wrote:You pussies!

Man up! Or as my oldest daughter says, "Nut up!!!".
I will make my contribution with nothing but a dremel and a drill pres to level the playing field. Everyone feel better?

Well, I figure I won't feel like doing anything but staring at a computer screen that day, probably having spent the night in a ditch as well. It will give me the time to stumble home, randomize the drawing, and post the trade results order. My batch of vanilla bourbon stout is already fermenting in preparation.

Re: pipe in the hat trade?
Kurt- Vanilla Bourbon Stout sounds delicious! Is that a secret recipe of your own or from a kit? My wife got me beer making equipment for my birthday this fall and I've already made a Heffeweizen and a Belgian wit. I was planning on trying a stout next. I made my own immersion chiller; it looks like crap, but works great. I'm working on adding a smaller chiller in line that will sit in ice water to have freezing water run through the main immersion chiller. Cheers!

Alright Alright!
I didn't see the March 19th deadline that Kurt (curmudgeon in training) slapped on us. I thought the deadline was in like 2 weeks or something. I'm still in. No problems!

Haha, this would be my second pipe ever. What if I make it and I get really attached?

Re: pipe in the hat trade?
I feel ya there. I cut into the block I'll be using for this pipe last night and was shocked by a stunning display of unflawed birds eye.JLiberty wrote:Haha, this would be my second pipe ever. What if I make it and I get really attached?

Let's hope it goes well...
