Hello co-makers, the subject's title is what I want to know.
I bought the fiebings dye set from PME sometime ago, and I've only used red on understain of rusticated or sandblasted pipes.
I use it yesterday on a smooth after a black understain and I had a red-pink-violet contrast finish which ruined the image that I want the pipe to have.
Which red from the fiebings catalogue is really blood red? do you have any photos?
thanks a lot,
Michail

Try adding a little (very little) green to your red... Little by little, testing on scrap as you go. It will deepen your red.

I add brown and oxblood to the red. Looks like burgundy when it goes on but it buffs out red

Oxblood will be then.
I don't have green, so I can't try it.
Thanks a lot again,
Michail
