I agree, though. The article doesn't make any statement or offer any information that helps to form an argument that lower priced pipes sell better. Low priced pipes do sell quickly but so do pipes in a higher price bracket.

One thing is for sure (though it's not mentioned in the article), anyone who successfully prices their pipes below their perceived value will not be able to keep them in stock.

David,
When you get to the area, you should go down and visit the Lewis pipe shop. He's pretty old school, but a fabulous guy. I bought one of his pipes a couple years ago. He makes most of his pipes in the lower mid range. And he has his son in the shop making pipes with him. I can hardly wait for the day I get to do that with my kids.
