I also have to back out officially because my business is circling the drain. No time for fun right now.

They're dropping like flies!
I have to do my first re-make for a commission so I'm out too.

well I was trying to finish mine up over the weekend and I was almost done with my sanding when I flipped it over to sand the bottom side of the ebonite stem when I noticed I burned through into the airway about an inch in from the button!
but i'm still in, and planning a fanicer stem, as punishment for screwing up the first one!

We need to officially keep this farther away from the Chicago timeline. After = okay, before = not okay.
I may have to drop.

Norm, I like the finish and the silver band. Very classy. Main thing is that the stem/shank is much too large for the pipe. The bowl also appears to have a backwards cant. I'm discovering that the prince is a very difficult shape to pull off.

I have to start fresh, first problem, sanded through to the airway when making stem, 2nd problem, noticed shank was cracked when fitting new stem

I'm still in, just waiting for it to warm above freezing so I can work comfortably in my shop. Hoping to get some shop time this weekend. I also need to get a new bandsaw as the old aluminum cast guide mount have started crumbling :/

Got my stummel drilled and turned as much as possible this weekend. I'm hoping that morta is acceptable for the trade. It was last time. Neat material.

Damn Harry, you nailed it! I like that a lot. The only thing that I may have done differently (and this is JMO) is from the top view the stem looks pinched to obtain the fish tail. I would have left those sides more parallel or smoothed the lines a little more. But that sir is the best I've seen so far!

I will be working on mine and hopefully be able to have it finished this weekend. Hope most of the people on the list are still participating. There's three or for finished I think???
