Profiling drill bits with out the proper tooling is a real pain in the ass. Ken has the CNC tooling needed to make a bit the right way. I wouldnt even try to do it myself( a good 3/4 bit isnt cheap). Here is his site,

There's a couple ways that were been described here on the forum a few years ago. One way is to mount the bit on your lathe and employ an angle grinder to reshape the tip. The other way is to mount the bit in a drill, and reshape it using a bench grinder. Obviously, both are inherently dangerous, involve more than a little bit of risk, and could result in loss of limb or life. Be careful out there.
