Awesome! Looks like we have a good sized group. Is everyone okay with January 31 end date? If so, we'll run the end like this:
- post pictures of your finished pipe by Jan 31
- I'll put the names of everyone in a hat
- one of my kids will draw the names to establish the order of the exchange
- everyone sends their pipe to the next name in the list
- the last person sends their pipe to the first on the list
- PM each other to get addresses and send your pipes on their way

Keep in mind, this is a permanent exchange, so smoke it, love it, enjoy! Contact the maker who's pipe you received and provide good, honest feedback on how the pipe could be improved - if it could be improved upon.

Besides that, have fun with this thing. Post updates, questions, or just plain insanity.

Those dates and that plan work for me. Since this is modeled after Mr. Wallenstein's pipes I dropped the "kit" option and just ordered everthying necessary for a completely handmade stummel, but did order a pre-fab stem to make due. Definitely gonna bea fun venture!

Since it is our esteemed Maestro Wallenstein i would also gladly participate in this well thought homage.
I will carve me a pipe in some of my old olive wood and leave the rest to destiny and Kurt's hat .

Best,
Abi

Not copy - "pay homage to", or "construct in the style of". And if you can get Todd or Rad to call you insane - all the better. :)

My wife asks me if I'm insane all the time, does that count for anything?

I would love to be in on this but no one wants a rush job and until my bandsaw comes in I only have about 2 days to finish a pipe between now and the end of the year.

I'm in! Sorry for the delayed response. I've been using Tapatalk on my iPhone to check the forum for the past few months and it didn't show me this thread. I've been wondering when the PITH was going to happen. It's probably user error that I missed the thread. This should be lots of fun.
