Haven't posted in a while, but here are my last 2 pipes. #19A bent egg with maple burl, and#20 a Dublin. These aren't quite detailed enough pictures for a good critique, I just wanted to show what I've been working on lately.

Re: 19 & 20
I really like that dublin. Great usage of grain and nice job on the shaping. The stem looks like it could be a bit thinner still, but very nice work.
Re: 19 & 20
Both look really nice to me. Nice job.

Re: 19 & 20
A bunch of nice ideas executed pretty well.
The mortise angle is wrong on the sandblast. The shank curve needs to carry into the angle that the stem is going to come off at, +-, and in this case, the stem is I guess about 5 degrees off the line generated by the shank, so it looks "broken" especially in the picture of the right side, where you see more of that detail. This is handled better on the smooth.

I really admire your handling of asymmetrical shapes, and your shaping to the grain.
Beautiful pipes!

Re: 19 & 20
Your stems do seem a little thick right after the ring. Might be me, but I like them thinner and normally try for about 7mm at least.
Nice job overall!
