Strawberry wood

Post by thedeep »

Compare/contrast strawberry wood vs briar. I've seen a few strawberrys and they are cool looking, but how do they smoke?

It is a viable briar alternative.

I just sent a guy two identical pipes, one briar, one strawberry. He says the strawberry smokes sweet, dry and cool.

I'm smitten with strawberry. It's light, blasts beautifully and smokes wonderfully.

Strawberry smokes sweet at the first ten bowls after smokes exactly like briar.
On my island there are thousands of that erica plants and they grow to the same places with briar that's why they are so similar I believe.
Personally I like the sweet wood aroma a lot :)
