Years a pipe smoker: negative 6? Not a pipe smoker yet, but I enjoy a cigar here and there.
How you got into pipe making: Saw a block of wood that looked cool in Windsor plywood with some nice bumpy bark on the edge and thought ‘holy crap, $40?’ Saw it was briar, knew they made pipes out of briar and thought ‘I’ll get that, use my carving knives and bang out a pipe this week.’ Then I got home, read a little bit because I thought maybe the drilling would be a little tricky… and here I am a week later reading everything I can before I ask questions that have been answered in a variety of ways already.
