Stained wild olive

I experimented a bit with staining wild olive. I think I prefer the virgin wood. What do you think? Here is the results.

It looks fine, but I don't think olive takes stain the same as briar. Have you tried contrast staining olive? It would be interesting to see if it's possible.

You're right Frank, it doesn't take stain the same as briar. :( I have tried contrast staining as well and the results were also not that great. I think I'll just stick to virgin olive. Stained it looks cheap.
