Any interest in the SEM swirls?

Kris and I have been in conversation with SEM and they do have some rods of black/green, black/blue, and a couple left of black/red. There are more colors being produced in a couple weeks - black/brown and black/tan.

Any interest in another group buy? I'm going to go ahead and get myself some, so if you want any, let me know ASAP - by the end of the weekend at the latest.

Kurt, did you get that last email I forwarded?

They also have uni color red, blue, and green. I assume that means a solid color of ebonite. I didn't know they could do that. Cost: 44 Euros, diameter ?, but I'm again making an assumption that it's 22mm raw.

The swirls are 50 Euros - for raw 22mm, or "smoothed" 20 & 18mm.

I was hoping to get pics of the black/brown and black/tan before deciding to order it for fear of a peachy tan, but I'll email my present wish list by tomorrow.

The Euro has now dropped to $1.28

Upon further review (I typed the above in haste), I'm going to extend the deadline for letting me know that you're interested in some marbled rods. No need to let me know how much or of what color just yet - only that you're interested.

Please let me know by Friday 12/12/2008.

I did not notice that I was out of black. I would like to try some swirl also.
If I am too late I will place a order on my own.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Skip Elliott

Heya guys,

I'll start gathering orders now. Both swirls and black. If anyone needs the price list or a refresher on colors, just shout. Send your orders to pipecrafter@pipecrafter.com, and I'll start organizing the order. I expect to place the order by Friday, so don't hesitate.

The marbled colors are a volitile stock item. What's in one day might be sold out the next. Pen makers all over the world have taken notice of it, and are scrambling to get a hold of it. I'll do my best to get everybody what they want however.

In other news, I don't want full rods of most of these swirled colors. Does anyone want to go halfsies? I'm probably going to want some of each, including whatever new colors are in development over at SEM (tan/black, brown/black).

I've already got enough confirmed to place the order, so I'm thinking I'll send it off on Monday. Speak now!

Hmmm - that's about $70 US per rod before shipping it (twice). I've reconsidered and will pass this time.

With the holidays, the funds aren't there, and I won't be home in time to raise them, so I'll have to pass as well. Halfsies are closer, but probably still better pass. Thanks anyway Kurt.

I'm definately down for halfsies, maybe thirdsies.

I'll go halvsies on one of each of whatever is available, or even thirdsies.

Otherwise, if I have to go whole: one red, one brown.

If any of those colors aren't available, I'd have to consider what is... but I'm down for the cost of two whole rods.

I'd also be interested in the "uni-color" staves, if it is what I think it should be. I think I like the idea of a solid color red and even blue (green, not so much), but I don't think I like the idea more than 43 euros each. Halfsies or thirdsies on solid colors is an idea I like a lot, so if anyone else is curious and would be interested in splitting "uni-color" rods, I'd increase my maximum order spending limit to 3 rods worth total - 2 meters of swirlys and 1 meter of uni's.
