That's really nice.
The only thing that strikes me at all is that it appears as though the fattest part of the bowl is higher up on the pipe in the front than at the sides, giving the whole thing a slightly tilted look. I don't know if this is a bad thing, but it seems like it loses the "brandy" shape on the front.

I aggree with Sas. Also, it seems like since the bowl itself is so wide, a shorter stem might look better.

I don't think there's quite enough birdseye in the grain on this one. I think it could be improved if there was some more birdseye. Furthermore...did I mention birdseye?
Okay, all keeding aside. That is a gorgeous pipe. I like the ring and the whole very fancy military style bit look of it. Next time, though, if you could find a piece of briar that has some more birdseye in it, I think that would be great.

VaVa, is that an ebonite lining I see between the silver ring and the mortise? Was that done to compensate for the size of the ring (it sounds like maybe the silversmith made it larger than you wanted?)?
It's very pretty. Nice work.

Magnificent pipe, and excellent "bird eye". For me is a Brandyglass.
Greetings.

Very nice pipe, Carsten. I can't decide if I'm a fan of the stem diameter being smaller than the shank but it still works as an overall design. Well done.

This is one really nice looking pipe...very impressive! I think my favorite thing about it is the ebonite (i guess that's what it is anyway) shank ring that the silver is placed over. That's a really nice personal touch. Seriously, a great looking, classy pipe. Well done!

Very nice pipe Carsten! Definitely like the custom band! I do like the different diameters from shank to stem, I think it adds a nice element without being too distracting. Well made.

Hey
Thank you for all – sorry for the birdseye, I still looking for find more to the next one, I think its on the way!! and it’s a big one
I got the ring in right size, and plan the ebonite from beginning because I don’t like round wood edge on this place, the ring have round age inside and outside so it should connect with round age too
