Too late!
I like the shape but hate the pipe because you didn't sand or coat the tobacco chamber. Do you need me to send you some 180 grit? I'm guessing you used your last piece to shape the pipe and it was worn out so bad that it lost all abrasiveness so you couldn't get that stain out of the chamber.

Very cool pipe. That's one I'd like to have.

Looks good. You did a nice job. The only thing I could critique is that it "appears" that there is some sort of small gap between the stem and shank. It's hard to tell in pictures, but that's what I'm seeing.
You should be proud of it!
Brian.

I really like that pipe. My only critique is about the proportions. I think,IMHO, that the bowl is too small for that composition. Too shank heavy. Other than that, I think she looks great. You should indeed be proud.

I find it utterly charming the way it is but that bit/shank combo invites any number of bowls to audition for the job. You could have a terrific series just exploring the whole scale issue. Meanwhile, you got a keeper. Congratulations.

thanks for the comments guys...
@wayne.... i know, i got lazy. but you can feel free to send me some sandpaper if you like
@growley... you are right there is indeed a gap in the pics, just checked the pipe and it looks like i just didn't push the stem all the way in before taking pictures.
all points noted and appreciated.

Sorry my fingers slipped. I was trying to type this ;
"That pipe is very much you my friend. It will be just perfect in your next mugshot (if you can convince them to let you smoke, I think they'll agree with me). While I'd like to criticize it and say the shank/stem IS too big for the bowl, I dont think changing it would make it better. If the shank was smaller, the pipe would lose its unique look. If the bowl was bigger, it wouldnt be keeping with your style. Its a pretty damn cool pipe just the way it is, even if it is all wrong."

I have a better idea. You can just send me that pipe and I'll sand the chamber for you. It would look nice in my curio cabinet amongst my other pipes and look especially good in my gob.

Notes aside, I'm going to step out on a limb here and say that the shank is
not too big in relation to the bowl, IMO. Look at Revyagin's work. His pipes are practically ALL shank.
I think you did a kick ass job on this pipe. The lines are simply beautiful. Because I like what I like, I think this is my favorite that you've made.
