Great pipe, Yeti! The finish is lovely. I could stare at the bird's eye on the front of the bowl for ages.
Also, I really like the design of your button! The slot looks like it's on a slightly different angle than the body of the button. Is that right or am I seeing things?
Only other thing: buff the inside of your stem before you take pictures.

PS - Your stem appears to have many visible scratches on it still. They're especially visible in the up close photo of the brass tenon.

Re-sanded and re-buffed. Re-shot the two where you could see the scratches- better?

honestly.. that is beautiful... did you use a bullet shell? for the brass extension? and is that part of the mouthpiece or part of the stummel

a gorgeous pipe. The finish is absolutely stunning and the design is really well balanced. The only thing I could comment is that the stem looks to be rather matte black than shiny black, but I assume that's just the photographs or my screen...

Massis, if you look down in the post I actually re-sanded and re-buffed the stem when this was pointed out. It's oily black n' shiny now.
And the brass was turned from rod stock, and it's a sleeve over the integral tenon. Not part of the shank.
