Chicago Show information needed...

Post by bscofield »

I need some questions answered from you fine, information-volunteering folks:

1-) After talking with sagitier I know I need to book my room ASAP. But I'm still not 100% certain I'll be able to attend. How do they handle bookings and cancelations?

2-) Do the rooms have two beds?

3-) If yes to #2, is it economical to split a room?

4-) if yes to #2 and #3, does anyone want to split a room with me?

Thanks for the info!

I think they require 24 hours cancellation but you can call the hotel and ask the reservations operator, they are all very nice.

You can order a single or a double for the same show rate.

It's ecomonical as you only have to pay 1/2, you save almost $60 a night.

Sorry, i like my own room :-)) last year i had 2 rooms, one to hang out and sell in and one for sleeping. Back down to one this year, sleeping is pretty overated in Chicago.

Dang! What a room hog! :P

I was wondering about the economical part because at some hotels they charge per person in the room and not by the room.

I just got off the phone with the hotel. The cheapest room (that's MY rate :)) is $114. It can have 2 double beds in it and the price is the same for up to two people. After 2 people it is only $10 more per person. I'm up for even having 3 people in my room if anyone's interested! I'll even volunteer to take the floor! With 3 people it's only $42 per night... that's my kind of price!

Any takers? I'll wait a day or two with this message on here before I post to any other boards...

i would do it again but i figured out that based on the time I actually slept it was about $30 and hour :-)) That's a bit much for sleeping alone.
