I'm not sure what you want to gain from the argument Wayne... Ain't no embracing anything and faking the other.. Hogwash .....But maybe I look at the world through different eyes... You either shot for a classic within proportion shapes... Symmetric ... Or shot for an exaggeration of set standards.....

James, which part of the shank would you have rounded more? Are you referring to the back, bottom edge of the shank? it made sense to me .. hahaha... no the bottom back end .... but like I said, its more preference.. Not just gray... Many different shades and colors are used... Driftwood is the finish not the color ... Several guys have done it.. And know how to do it.... Including yours truly

answer is yes... I use mainly metric drill bits...

very thought provoking.... I was talking to a fellow over here about the same thing a few weeks ago... as he was/is having problems setting his current prices... and my response was more or less do you want sell one or two pipes or develop a relationship with a customer base.. today its hard to do.....

What "notch" are you guys talking about? Also, what is the proper gap between mortise floor and tenon? When you have a bent pipe, in order to drill some you have to 'notch' the airway as it is not on center. You want to leave a gap between the end of the tenon and the bottom of the mortis...
