I had a table. And a very good show it was. I sold about 7 at the show and Knoxville cigar bought the rest of my stock (19) for thier web site.
They sold all of those in 10 weeks.

Kurt, I use 2 inch thick buy 4x4 squares, I get 2 pipes from each block.
Make the walls of the pipe thick and they will last longer.
I have photos of 3 cherry wood pipes I have made on my site take a look.
The sold pipe was stained the other two are natural.

You will need a fostner bit, say 1 inch. Before you drill the mortise hole, use the fostner bit first to square it up.

Well, I hand cut my stems for the Signature series pipes and use molded for my standard line. helps to keep labor cost down.
I like making my own it gives me a lot of creative freedom to do as I wish.
