Re: Anyone tried SEM's "super black" ebonite?

oh yeah... forgot to mention that i got the powdery drilling too, no matter how sharp the bit. although when turning i got ribbons. all in all, sounds like your experience with the stuff is similar to mine. defiantly not recommended.

Re: Anyone tried SEM's "super black" ebonite?

yeah, i got a rod of it, and i don't plan on getting any more. for the most part it works the same as SEMs regular black, but it doesn't buff up as well, and if you do manage to a decent shine out of it, it dulls rather quickly in my experience. that and it gets black shit all over the place.

FWIW... they are making the Neptune and Icarus pipes in Nashville if I understood Todd correctly, and he is currently not producing any pipes in China.

Re: 1st Bent pipe

you are doing lots of things right... each one is a little better than the last IMO. i'd say maybe you should back off the inlays and extensions for a bit and focus on refining your shaping and stem work. also... for the gratuitous redundant sam harassing kiel part, i agree... if you were back in th...

Re: 2nd Billiard Please have a look

I am living in China so the materials and tools I can find feel quite restricted. dearest kiel, i imagine this must be frustrating... so, i recommend you relocate from china to the US of A. when you arrive i then invite you to use my tools and shop and i will also buy you a sammich. you're welcome.

Thanks Sasquatch, PremalChheda, sam a, and Nate for welcoming me to the site. After I learn how to make pipes, I will learn how to post cool .gifs like sam a so I can further express myself via pictures that can move a little. http://img.pandawhale.com/post-23470-Jeremiah-Johnson-HD-gif-Imgur-2LEp....

Re: Ivory Juma poll

I really want to try some Juma- if for nothing else, I'd love it for accent rings. Good info from George on buffing vs. sanding- it's something I've become more and more conscious of lately. Would you happen to have an extra two inches of Juma you could send me so I could play with it? :D pm me you...
