Why the pictures are not visible? The only thing I see is the word "image" at the place that should be the pictures.

A couple people describe their method in this post. At the bottom of the first page is a post by Todd Johnson that details exactly how to get a great contrast stain. Try it, it works.

In my experience, the first pipes I made, with shallowly countersunk tenons, significant (1/16") gaps between mortise bottom and tenon end, and shallowly funneled slots all smoke a million times worse than the pipes I make now. Sometimes I use a precision Forstner for my mortise, but usually a ...
