This is my last pipe **Lots of pics**

Post by NvilleDave »

Some of you probably remember me (some of you won't). I stopped making pipes awhile back for various reasons and sold all my supplies and most (not all) my equipment sometime ago. I think Rad bought most of my best briar. Anyway, I had this stummel laying around almost completly done with stem blank and all. I visited here a few weeks ago and you all inspired me to finish it. I call this one "The Hazelnut" because of the shape. Hopefully I'm able to post the pics here. Here we go...

It's not perfect but it earned a stamp. It's my last ever and I think I ended on a pretty good note. Best to all of you and thanks for everything.

Hi Dave,

You certainly *did* end on a good note! Very nice pipe and well executed!

BTW, I put that briar I bought from you to very good use. :D

Great stuff.

Hey Dave! Very nice pipe! I like it... Have any of that boxwood left?? :)

Incidentally, that last pipe that I posted here was from briar that I bought from you :D

Try and check in from time to time...

You went out swinging, and hitting a line drive out of the park! Sweet pipe!

That's a great, great pipe, David. I'm glad that you got to finish one last pipe, and that you shared it with us. Thank you.

Thanks guys very much. Yes Rad I have noticed you put the briar to very good use. Ben I really like the bulldog too.

I tell you its just really neat to see the progression of everyone. Kurt, Brad, John, Love, Rad, Ben, and Jeff you guys are doing some incredible work. I see some relatively new folks that only need a year or so and they'll be right there too. This all goes without even mentioning Todd who is at the pinnacle. And the whole board is great group too; you guys are the best.

I'll stop in now and then just to google at your work. Take care you guys. :D
