T minus 1 day!

Post by Nick »

Well, I'm leaving for Connecticut Saturday afternoon. EEK! I'm really roughing it as far as tools go. Just a motor with a jacobs chuck. Sanding disks, drill bits and a buffing arbor. I feel like a pipe making nomad!

That is cool. One of the apealing things of pipe making for is that we travel in a Motor Home all summer to music festivals. I plan to work on pipes in an easy chair while the music isn't going on. With the MH though I can carry small tools to work with.

Too cool! Love Geiger used to have his whole workshop in a converted circus wagon if I'm not mistaken.

One summer I took about a dozen rough-shaped stummels/stems to a music festival, along with rasps, sandpaper, and a buffing wheel. Finished them all there.

T minus 0 days! Woohooo! Hitting the road tomorrow. My car is 80% packed and I'm excited to hit the road. Of course I'm gonna miss my wife and kids like crazy. Still, this is a new and exciting adventure!
