New Pipes Video Blog

Post by jeff »

Hey folks

I just made the first video upload to my blog. I'll be taking time in the future to discuss things related to my pipes and pipes in general. Please do stop by the blog to view the video and offer comments, critiques, and suggestions for future episodes.

Thanks,

Jeff

I had to put a shirt on for the video. It is Youtube, after all. Pipes and shirtless men are all too common and I had to set an example there. :)

Perhaps I'll grow a beard for the next video.

That's pretty cool, Jeff! You do a nice job of pushing the edge with technology (blog, vlog etc). Looking forward to seeing more. :)

Yeah, Al Pascia has been posting videos for a while now. I had thought about, and even recorded a few, videos in the past. None managed to make their way online. In 2006 I made a good video detailing the shape first, drill second method--but thought better of posting it to youtube when thoughts of injury and litigation entered my mind (I did spend 3 years in the most litigious state in the nation, after all.) Better late than never.

Were you wearing pants? If so, were they leather? Leather is sexxxxy!

I think you would look hot in leather pants.

Yet another one that's already been done, guys. Our Russian friends have already covered most of this ground.

On a more serious note, I have a cache of pipemaking tutorial videos that I'm going to be offering through a new site soon. I'm actually working on it this week while I'm parted from my tools.

I hope you'll be "appropriately" dressed for the video format. Please search "pipe smoking" on youtube for ideas.

Great video Jeff. My wife finally understood what birds eye and straight grain are and why I'm so drawn to collecting pipes. Of course she bucked when she saw the price... but it's okay. Baby steps. She'll get there.
