Why cant you use a larger swing lathe for stem work? A large lathe will do just as good a job on stems as it will on stummels.

Give me a break i had a hard day, 1 flawed briar block, then a flawed Morta block. Finally on attempt three i had a good pipe. By the end of the day i was having serious senior moments, lol
