cats, cards and chaos - an introduction

Post by tarock-briar »

hi everybody,
Walle persuaded me to show some of my pipes in this forum. So here´s a very short introduction of me and my works. Very short because 1. my English is not the best 2. it´s very late (in Germany) - only my cats are still awake with me - even the snakes have gone to sleep.
I started making pipes in 1997 ... oh, please ... if You want ... read this on my website tarock-briar.de
May be there´s one thing worth to mention: To me pipemaking is an (never ending) improvisation on pipehead - shank - stem just like a simple 3-chord blues chorus.
I try to use the :notworthy: million years old approved methods :notworthy: of pipemaking to create some a little bit different shapes. And after more than 10 years of pipemaking I realize that my skills and my ideas are just at the beginning.

Welcome and thanks for taking the time to share your pipes. I took a look at your site and and its no surprise you're a friend of Walle's, your pipes are wonderfully unique. :) Too many pipes to mention but the rose was a real eye catcher!

Google Chrome didn't want to translate your site for me, ill have to try again later since im very curious.

Unique is a word often misused. But these pipes are unique.

This one is - among others tinkered by Christian - MINE, MINE, MINE:

Christian is engaged in weird hobbies like pipe-making and insect-breeding specializing in locusts and mantis like those:

No wonder that sometimes pipes and insects look alike.
