As for living quarters, I hope your correct, as if I spend much more on tools and such, the wife will have me living in there.

Some nice shops so far, keep them coming. It's also my favorite part of a pipe makers pictures, after the pipes that is.
Walle, There's something wrong with the sound on your video. I couldn't understand a word you were saying.Walle wrote:Comrades!
Gee! All these places of yours look so tidy!
So it is kind of embarassing to show my one:

Actually, my shop is only clean when I'm not making pipes--it's twice as bad as yours otherwise! About once a month or so I have to clean up or I can't find anything.... You have a great workshop, Walle, and I enjoyed seeing you working on one of your wonderful pipes!Walle wrote:.....Gee! All these places of yours look so tidy!

My favorite moment is at 3:34 in the video, when the camera man places his cigarette pipe on the shelf. Why did such an odd little thing fit in so perfectly in Walle's shop?Walle wrote:Comrades!

Crap! It was just getting to the good part, the secret of those amazing textured surfaces ... Just a few more minutes and I could have signed up for the pipe in the hat trade, which I decided to skip this year since Walle is beyond my comprehension.Walle wrote:Comrades!

I do like your blue shirt, Roger.Walle wrote:What a pity, Rad!RadDavis wrote: I couldn't understand a word you were saying.

I mentioned your name three times in that video. Here comes the translation:
1. "I agree this looks silly, but Rad Davis taught me to do it this way."
2. "I´m wearing this blue shirt because Rad Davis likes the colour. See the painting at the wall? He made it. I believe..."
3. "Yes, Rad Davis stole this shape from me. But he sold it it at least."
Cheerio!

Heh. I learn so much here.mredmond wrote:You are looking at it all wrong, Ernie. Tires on the roof is a statement of social responsibility. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Southerns were green before green was cool.
