blasting media compacked??

Post by timothy thorpe »

Hey guys,

I have had this super fine media since the winter. I have a standard cyclone cabinet like Jeff has. of coarse it was humid here in jersey.... so the media is not passing consistently at all! what a pain! so im assuming i have to take out all the media and vac the feed tube and clean up everything? right ?

as always thanks for the help everyone!!

Depending on the media, what you need to do I would guess is dry it out. Spread it in a pan and maybe warm it in an oven?

Keep a few dehumidifying packs in your cabinet. When I first got mine it started to cake up a bit over time so I added a few drying packs and now have no problems.

If it is compacted up in the tubes then try running a piece of wire through to break it up a bit then give full whack from your compressor, that should clear it out in no time.
