20 years

Post by billiard »

My wife and I have been married for 20 years this week. As her gift to me I got both some shop time and to keep this pipe I made for myself.

No critique of the pipe requested, I just needed an excuse to share the 20 year mark :)

Might be a couple of weeks before I get to see any shop time again but I will console myself with this pipe and opening a jar I cellared while my young bride and I were still just dating.

Thanks,
Bill

Congrats Bill. I'm coming up on 15 with my SWMBO and I can hardly believe it. We'll make 20 for sure if we don't kill each other.

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course

Thanks much guys, and congrats on the 15 and both the 25s!

For me, with the day job, wife, kids, etc, pipe making as a hobby works out great. Most steps in making a pipe take about 15 minutes and that's usually all I get. So if I can grab a couple hours on the weekend to knock out the lathe work then 15 minutes here and there and I finish a pipe every couple of weeks... though sometimes I am really just hiding and having a beer in the shop instead :)

Whoops!

Change the "though sometimes" to "It's not like I am" - really just hiding and having a beer in the shop instead :)

cause I don't hide my beer, I raise my jug to the sky!

Isn't it just like a woman to take something you made with your own two hands and LET you keep it as a gift!

Hmm, do I detect a bitter note here?

Congrats on 20 years
If my wife and I had stayed married :banghead: we'd been celebrating our 36th this May 25th but, thankfully and I mean that, I've been happily single for 31 years.
