Oliverpool

Post by Albert.A »

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything here due to work-bussyness and me having to insulate the floor in the workshop (I'm not done yet) to not freeze my a** of when winter strikes.

Anyway, this pipe was commissioned (spelling?) by my uncle who is going to give it to one of his friends as a birthday gift. It's made from olive with an ebonite stem. I think it turned out pretty good and I'm especially happy with the finish. You can't really tell on the pics but the shine is good and smooth, which is a nice thing! :)

Please tell me what you think, and point out mistakes that you see. After this I'm taking a brake from the billiard shapes and I have started some other things that I'm kinda exited about.

/Albert

Nice pipe, love the name!
Maybe a bit more taper over the length of the shank.

Looks very nice!

The one thing I would do differently is the side of the bowl opposite the shank. It looks pretty straight from the rim down. I would make a little bit of a curve outward to just above the shank.

Keep up the nice work!

Very nice! Love Olive wood but hard to get in sizes bigger than pen blanks. When you find them can be pricy.
