My First Post in Long Time, Pipe Photos

Post by staffwalker »

I haven't been on this site other than to look up a topic for a long time. I's sure most who remember me thought I had quit trying to make pipes. Such is not the case, I just finished #80 since I made my first one over the 2006 Labor Day weekend. I took four months out from making last year as I was traveling around, I didn't make a pipe from July to November but am back working hard at getting better.

I recently loaded my most recent ones on PhotoBucket. I didn't count them but there are about 15 there all made within the last six weeks or so. As there are several views of each pipe it would take forever to post them all to the Gallery. If you like, take a look and I would be happy for any feedback, negative or positive, you care to give.

Oh, and one final word. Kurt H. I need to thank you in a big way for telling me about plug/pin gages, bought a couple of sets and they have made all the difference in my ability to turn items on my Taig. Also want to thank you for sharing your story about ripping your hand when pulling a piece of stock off a pin gage. I can't recall how many times that story has saved me from injury. Every time I start to pull something off a pin gage I think about your experience and remove the pin from the chuck and put it in the vice instead. Thanks.

Hello Bob, I can't get your link to work either directly, or with copy and paste, and could not pull you up on a search of photobucket. Would like to check out your pipes though... Sounds like you've been busy!
