Mushroom Pipe

Post by meathod »

Bowl and stem is made from African blackwood and holly.

The mushroom cap is padauk with tagua nut bumps, and a brass and copper hinge.

The gills are curly maple.

Oh, and it will pass a pipe cleaner! haha.

The single most orginal thing I've seen in the last year, without a doubt.

Amazing.

Wow. Did you slice each piece of the gills and glue them into place? Very cool pipe.

Yep, each gill was individually shaped, they have to taper from wide to thin at the stem, so that they look realistic. I wanted to avoid the Super Mario Bro's vibe that this pipe might give off, if it had been a little more cartoony looking. So I went for as realistic as I could get.

Seriously amazing. If I owned a pipe like that, I'd use it. And I've never used a pipe like that. Seriously awesome.
