I like the name "Calaball", it fits. Nice job.
I'm curious if you (or anyone here on the board for that matter) have had feed back from users that prove out the theory that this internal chamber has merit? I can definitely see it working in a true Calabash due to the enormous size of the chamber.
Anyone ready to make a small self-contained Hookah?
Chas.

wdteipen has made a couple and has gotten positive feedback about them. Positive feedback from seasoned smokers as well, gentlemen that know what's what. The comments were (paraphrased) the calabash effect was noticeable and pleasant, but not a 'cure-all'. You could still mess it up if you tried hard enoughoklahoma red wrote:I like the name "Calaball", it fits. Nice job.

I was wondering the same, but can see where if executed properly could work very well.
Amazing pipes you guys make, really amazing.

Love it Jens. I don't think i've seen the reverse calabash used on the apple or ball shape. I have to say i really like it.
As N8 says, i've gotten good responses. I kept the first one i made and find that i get more flavor from the tobacco and it smokes cool and dry. It's not a profound, earth-shattering difference but it is noticeable.

Jos,
I'm very sorry. All I see is a glump. Forget the reverse calabash tripe and go back to the basics.
Make attractive pipes, those that have fluid lines and that are, quite simply, classic.
Concentrate on making a good pipe. Forget what's "in" and go for what has always been "in".
Once you have established yourself and have a fine portfolio, then you can experiment.
Not trying to be harsh, only logical.
I don't care if this helps.

Bruce,
I'm very sorry, too.
You're anti-German, I'm afraid.
Winning the war ain't enough, eh?
Cheerio!
