My first pipe :)

Post by bbeberle »

Hey everyone, I have been taking everyone in the general forum on my first pipe adventure. Made several mistakes along the way but lucky for me I had some very superb help from Tyler. Trust me when I say that he was a huge help for me. So thanks for Tyler for that. Also thanks to those who posted in my progress topic, great tips that will be applied to my future pipes.

Now for pictures....I hope y'all enjoy and please, tell me what you think. I'd love to hear from anyone. Take care everyone.

psst: they're images, not rimmages... I don't even want to know what those are...

So the correct code is [img] instead of [rimg]

ya I don't know why I have such a hard time posting pics in these forums. When they do work they're HUGE and blah.

upload them to imageshack and have them resized on upload.
More importantly, the code is [img]<url here>[/ img] , without any spaces. So just for you:

If that is the code then why are my past pictures all listed as [rimg] in my other topic on the general forum?

Or y'all can just have huge pictures, that will work too. :P

Fixed it.

Here's the code I used:

[rimg width=600 height=800]

Then close it with:

/rimg
(In brackets)

The reason it wasn't working for you is a space. Don't put a space after the first "rimg" command. (I've been fixing all your posts without saying anything, so I'm sure you were confused that the way you were doing it was no longer working. Tricked ya, sorry!)

First pipe? Damn son, pretty good! I especially like the gentle arc on the shank. Its very pretty.

The bowl shape reminds me of my second pipe :P seriously though, its almost identical, down to the rough burl on the top!

Alright, lets be honest, that's just a commission you asked of Tyler right.

Seriously, that's a great looking pipe. You're very fortunate to have such a talented pipemaker there to help you along. It will save you tons of mistakes

"but rev, isn't smoking a sin?"

well I suppose if one were to smoke to excess it would be a sin

"but what would be smoking to excess?"

Why smoking two pipes at once of course
