Blushing Prince

Post by scotties22 »

I tried something new with the finish on this pipe. I wanted a rosie blush over the grain. It came out a little uneven in a few spots, but I like it. I think I could have tapered the shank a bit more and really made it flow into the stem. The button is still a little thick. Gonna work on thinning that out on the next one.

Length: 4.91"
Height: 1.34"
Bowl Width: 1.51"
Chamber: .812" x 1.11"
Weight: 30g

Italian Briar
German Ebonite stem

Well, I'm not sure I'd call it a prince, but whatever it is I really like it. Shaping looks very nice. Finish is also looking sharp. I think it's more of an apple to me; shank is too long and the stem isn't long enough for a prince.

Thanks Jesse, sometimes it's hard to name than damned pipe than it was to make it. I was torn between an apple and a prince.
