2012 Chicago Pipe Show Preview (UPDATED)
Re: 2012 Chicago Pipe Show Preview (UPDATED)
Great pipes and a personal style. Very good job.
I have a doubt about the N.7. What material is the stem ring, the white one? It´s slightly long for my personal liking, but it would be justified in case of an "special" material.( Take this as a novice opinion!) Perfect classic shaping and great finish. Anyway I love all of them, but my favourite one is the N.8. It´s incredible!!

Thanks for the feedback iLeo. The shank extension on #7 is deer antler and I agree that it is too long. I had to shorten the briar shank due to a flaw so the length of the extension is longer to balance the piece out. Sometimes when you get lemons ya gotta makes lemonade if ya know what I mean.iLeo wrote:I have a doubt about the N.7. What material is the stem ring, the white one? I thought that Cathy Lee Crosby was the singing and dancing one?...How come you never see a Cathy Lee Crosby pipe?wdteipen wrote:The singing and dancing one. You know......John.e Markle wrote:Bing or John?wdteipen wrote:
I have a Crosby but I wouldn't sell it. It's my new favorite pipe.
But I digress...Wayne, all of your pipes are freaking gorgeous. If I were going to buy one of them, I'd buy 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, and--the hell with it--I was trying not to be greedy by leaving out the rest but I would just buy all of them. I'm sure you will sell out (probably even before you get to Chicago).
Really nice work, man. In all areas: shaping, materials, you name it. I would be proud to own any one of those (but my favorite is all of them).

Very nice pipes, but it looks like folks are missing the date in the post (except Massis and the OP).
