welcome, and realise that making pipes WILL end up costing more than buying them

Welcome! And Massis is right. I'm sure I could have bought a few dozen high grade pipes with the money I've spent on my shop. And now I don't have much time to actually make pipes for myself, so it's all sorts of fun, but if you want pipes, buy pipes, don't make them.
