hi guys, happy holidays!! when it comes to shaping i have always used a delta 1'' belt sander with the disc on the side, and of coarse a dremel. i am now interested in a disc for sanding. what is the basic set -up and were may i get it from? also i am assuming i can rig the side disc sander fro the new disc wheel if possible.
thanks,tim

What Nick said.
That's the least expensive entry into using a disc for shaping. Discs in the 2" to 4" range are available at places like Rockler and Woodcraft in grits up to 600, and if you want to step up to 5" or 6", they can be found without too much trouble online (like McMaster-Carr or MSC).
However, you do need to be careful about the jacobs chucks. The cheap ones tend to be out of concentricity, which is frustrating as all hell.
