Hello,
my name is Dirk. I am 32 years old and I am on my way to run my own business as a furniture/product designer. I hope that pipemaking will be a part of that.
I started making pipes around 4 years ago, but had really very little time for it.
In my youth I have learned joinery, what helps a little to handle the machines.
I am living in a small village near Hannover where I have my workshop on my parents farm.
Some members may know me from the german "Pfeife&Tabak" forum as Melmoth.
I hope I can get, and maybe give, some informations about pipemaking.
Greetings,
Dirk.

Re: Hello from Germany
My favorite part of foreign countries is always the countryside!
Hello Dirk!
Hello Dirk!
There is nothing like being left alone again, to walk peacefully with oneself in the woods. To boil one's coffee and fill one's pipe, and to think idly and slowly as one does it.

Thank you very much for all the nice welcomes!!
I am feeling already very well here.
And I agree, the countryside is usually the best part of a country.
I wish you a relaxing sunday...
