That would make two of us... But hey, isn't that kind of the whole point of PITH? New guys criticizing (sp?) each others work?

The point of the PITH is to push yourself to the extent of your skill, and maybe a bit further. You can never grow and progress if you don't push. Think of it as a semester project if that makes sense.

I will say that my knife making skills grew fastest when I participated in K[nife]ITHs. It's all about using the opportunity to do something you've never done, because you never had any other reason to.

so...

Where are we at one this? I've done some practice bulldogs and I have some plans drawn up for several more, I just have to put tool to briar. Is the end of Feb. still the deadline?

that is the date Kurt set. Im sure there will be some people that have to bail out, as well as some that wont make the deadline, so it depends on the participants.

I was secretly working on a rhodesian in hopes that I could finish something decent, THEN put my name in the PIHT list. However this block had other plans. Not just a pit that I could fill!

Count me out because I won't have time to make pipes this February. Next PIHT for sure.

I'm still in. Can we get a comprehensive list of people who are planning on participating? Maybe everyone who wants in give a definitive "I'm in" post? This is all assuming Kurt will even have the time to majordomo this...?

Hi guys - give us an "I'm in!" if you still want to participate. I'll take a tally and we'll set a hard deadline. I'm thinking the Monday after St. Patrick's day to give everyone enough time.
